The World in Which I Live

Musings from my life – poetry and prose

I continue my daily practice of writing just one Haiku a day. I’m not sure how long I will continue this experiment, but for now, it feels right.

My stomach is tight
Knotted with worries unknown
Breathe into the now
Lost and wandering
My goals and dreams unrealized
I'll figure it out
There is much to give
Yet I hide, and stay inside
Someday it will end
The dream is not gone
It's been hidden deep inside
A photo released it
Long forgotten words
Streaming through my mind today
Four decades have passed

A home I don't want
In a place that feels foreign
I plan an escape
