The World in Which I Live

Musings from my life – poetry and prose

My soul is settling
after so much restlessness
Is this perhaps, hope?

Memories of him,
safety, I felt in his arms
I will not forget

Past thoughts of our dance
Surrendering to pure joy
I must remember

I've never let go
Haunted by your memory
I miss your sweet kiss

Fire on the mountain
Graying skies block out the sun
When will the rains come?

Please give back to me
the silence of the morning
I need it to breathe

I need to get out
Nature is calling to me,
"Come, seek my refuge."
