Trapped Beneath the Ice

Ice storm covers the North Atlantic coast
in the city that doesn’t sleep,
you shiver in the cold.
You call to say you miss me and wish it could be different
you’d change it if you could.
But you’re trapped beneath the ice.

I hear the wind whip the air on the other end of the line
and I feel the chill to the bones.
Sunshine warms the southwest coast
in this place called paradise, I still shiver in your cold
I hear you say you miss me and wish it could be different,
I’d change it if I could.
But I’m trapped beneath the ice.
